59th Program Year - Tenth MeetingJune 16, 2008Tanoan Country ClubImmigration and Security Policies: The Challenge for EuropeUlf Gartzke is Director of the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation's Washington office, and a visiting scholar at the BMW Center for German and European Studies at Georgetown University. Before becoming Director of the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation, Mr. Gartzke worked at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, where he was in charge of the Forum's engagement with the global automotive industry. Mr. Gartzke has previously worked for DaimlerChrysler's Washington Affairs Office, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the World Bank in Paris, and the Christian Social Union (CSU) party headquarters in Munich. He studied political science and international relations at the University of Augsburg in Germany, Georgetown University in Washington, the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) in Paris, and the London School of Economics. He is fluent in German, English, French and Spanish. |
