61st Program YearThe Albuquerque Committee on Foreign Relations continues its 61st Program Year with the Seventh Meeting on Monday, March 8th. The meeting will be at the Tanoan Country Club, 10801 Academy Boulevard NE. John J. Brandon the director of The Asia Foundation's International Relations programs, and the associate director of the Washington, D.C. office will discuss Why Thailand has been polarized: implications for the region and with the United States. Mr. Brandon managed the Foundation's quadrennial “America's Role in Asia” project in 2004 and 2008, which examines U.S.-Asian relations in depth and made recommendations on U.S. policy. Mr. Brandon's other responsibilities include monitoring U.S. policy toward the Asia-Pacific region, and managing program activities in Washington. In 2007-2008, he participated in the Stanley Foundation project on “New Power Dynamics in Southeast Asia.” We appreciate your continual support and thank you for being a loyal member of the Albuquerque Committee on Foreign Relations. The Committee offers our community a unique service by providing local citizens with knowledge and insight of current foreign affairs issues.
